Summary: My husband and I just stayed at the Avalon Gage house with our older aunt and uncle. It was important for us to have a ground floor bedroom for their accommodations, and as the four of us are from very warm climates we're outdoor friendly and took full advantage of cute landscaped yard and screened in back porch area.  We found the home and kitchen to be very well appointed. The upstairs bed was comfortable and the downstairs bedroom and additional living space gave us ample room to spread out or break out into more private settings. If you like a firm mattress, the downstairs bedroom is right for you! We loved having two full bathrooms, which can be hard to find in Topeka homes. The property is also very well located within town and easy to access. We also felt very safe in the neighborhood. The air-conditioning kept us cool during our summer stay and we enjoyed watching the fireflies from the the screened in back porch in the evenings. If ever traveling back to Topeka, we would stay again.
